Xiaomi launches its adaptive noise reduction headphones and a new connected watch

As expected, Xiaomi unsheathed new products this Monday in China. The manufacturer had already teased on the Chinese social network Weibo the presentation of its True Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones 3 headphones, they were finally presented, as reported by the GSM Arena site.

These new earbuds aren't Xiaomi's first active noise-cancelling models — the company has notably launched the Redmi Buds 3 Pro or the FlipBuds Pro — but they are the first Xiaomi-branded headphones to offer noise reduction. adaptive noise. What allow, according to the manufacturer, to reduce external noise up to 40 dB (A). A transparent mode is also offered.

In addition to active noise reduction, the headphones are also compatible with 360-degree 3D sound. On the codec side, Xiaomi cites compatibility with LHDC 4.0. The headphones are also waterproof — with an IP55 rating — and offer up to 27 hours of battery life using the wireless charging-compatible charging case. The headphones are also compatible with multipoint Bluetooth and can therefore connect to two sources simultaneously.

A new Xiaomi Watch Color 2 watch

In addition to its headphones, Xiaomi has also unveiled a new connected watch, soberly called Xiaomi Watch Color 2. It is equipped with a 1.43 inch diameter OLED screen with a density of 326 pixels per inch. The watch is certified 5 ATM for its waterproofing, allows you to take advantage of GPS tracking and benefits from a 470 mAh battery that should allow it an autonomy of 12 days in average use and 30 hours with GPS tracking activated. Among health metrics, the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 can measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) as well as heart rate, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle.

As for the functions of the watch, it does not include Wear OS 3, but an in-house system developed by Xiaomi. However, this has the advantage of allowing the installation of third-party applications.

For now, these two new features have only been announced in China. The True Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones 3 will be offered on October 9 at 699 yuan (92 euros) while the watch will be available on September 30 at 999 yuan (132 euros).
