Sony adds an option to control volume on WF-1000XM3 |Watchgeneration
Un défaut récurrent sur les écouteurs vraiment sans fil, comme les AirPods (Pro) d’Apple, c’est qu’il n’y a aucune solution pour régler le volume. Il faut passer par l’appareil source, ou bien par un assistant vocal pour baisser ou augmenter le volume sonore, ce qui n’est pas toujours pratique ou agréable. Sony a toutefois trouvé une solution pour les WF-1000XM3, ses écouteurs intra-auriculaires totalement sans fil.
The last update of their firmware, numbered 2.0.2, add an additional option in the Sony app.By default, an extended TAP on one of the headphones activates the voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) and the transparency mode which allows you to hear its environment on the other earpiece.An option replaces these two functions with a volume control, for example to lower it on the left and increase it to the right, but you will then lose the other two shortcuts.
It's up to you to see what you prefer, but we can salute the option offered by Sony, it remains too rare on this segment.And we hope that Apple will do the same for his AirPods Pro, since they also have an adjustment.
To return to WF-1000XM3, note that this update also makes it possible to know the level of charge of the case in the Sony app, a curious forgetting now corrected.The update must be carried out from the app, with the headphones connected to the smartphone.Please note, the operation can take up to 30 minutes.
