At last ! Apple's three desktop apps, Pages, Keynote and Numbers, just got a huge update (5.0 for all three apps) that closes the gap with macOS versions, not to mention support of the Apple Pencil! The list of modifications is so important that we preferred to leave you the description of the updates for each app.

Pages

• Use the new table of contents layout to easily navigate your document or book. • Insert a table of contents into a page in a word processing document. • Save custom figures for use in other documents and access it from any device via iCloud. • Create templates and use them for new documents. You can access it from any device via iCloud.• Create image placeholders to easily replace images, without having to change your page layout.• In your document, switch between a layout document page to a word-processing document. • Improved performance when collaborating on documents. • Edit grouped objects while collaborating. • In Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, you can now enter vertical text in your entire document or in an individual text box.

Numbers

• Precisely change the number and size of table rows and columns in the formats pane. • Performance and usability improvements for smart categories. • Save custom figures and use them in other spreadsheets, then access them from any device via iCloud. • Create templates and use them for new spreadsheets. You can access it from any device via iCloud.• Maximum zoom level increased to 400%.• Improvements to importing Excel files and comma-separated values ​​(csv).• Create placeholders to easily replace images, without having to change your spreadsheet layout.• Improved performance when collaborating on spreadsheets.• Edit grouped objects while collaborating.• Text support vertical in figures and text boxes in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Keynote

    Which iPads can benefit from all these updates? How are the restrictions organized? Processor or iOS?

    This question, because we may have iOS 12 on a 5s 6s or 7. The possibilities are not the same as on an XS without the hardware…

    What can I use with my iPad mini 2 with A7 processor and 1gb of ram in all these news since Apple give iOS 11 required without further info as usual…
