A little over a year ago, Samsung officially presented its latest accessible tablet, the Galaxy Tab A7. Logically, the Korean manufacturer is preparing to renew it with a new model planned for the entry level, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.

Last Thursday, American leaker Evan Blass posted an image online showing two tablets side by side, one placed vertically and the other horizontally. Two tablets that seem to be the Galaxy Tab A8, since he was responding to an article from GSM Arena about the characteristics of the tablet.

The images give some information about the tablet. This is the case for the format of its screen, with a display ratio of 16:10, rather wide borders around the screen and a volume bar and a standby button positioned on the same side.

This information echoes the data already published last September by the leaker OnLeaks. The latter, in partnership with the 91Mobiles site, had shared some information on the characteristics of the tablet as well as 3D renderings of the tablet. According to information from OnLeaks, the Galaxy Tab A8 would be equipped with a single camera on the back, four Dolby Atmos compatible speakers, a USB-C socket and a 10.4-inch Full HD+ screen . The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is said to measure 246.7 x 161.8 x 6.9mm.

In terms of technical characteristics, we can expect a Unisoc Tiger T618 chip with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. The tablet should be offered in two versions, compatible Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 4G.

A price that should be affordable

For the time being, Samsung has not yet revealed anything about its future entry-level tablet. Nevertheless, the publication of press renderings by Evleaks suggests that the tablet is in the final stages before its official release. We can therefore expect an announcement from the Korean manufacturer in the coming months.

For the price, we can expect a rather affordable price given the features. For information, the Galaxy Tab A7, launched in 2020, was offered at a price of 299 euros. It has since been regularly offered on promotion; around 220 euros, or even less than 200 euros.
