After Watchsmith, which made it possible to personalize the complications of the Apple Watch according to the time of day, the developer David Smith does this with another application to very advanced personalization options.This time, Widgetsmith intends to help you design tailor-made widgets, just to fully appropriate your home screen.

As this application takes advantage of iOS 14 and its new widget system, you must have installed the latest version of Apple's mobile system to take advantage of it.If Widgetsmith also runs on iPados, it is on iOS that it deploys its wings a little more, since the Apple tablet is still very restrictive on the location of the famous widgets.

Once launched, Widgetsmith displays three models of default widgets: small, medium and large.It is then possible to add at will in one of these formats, and to display certain information: the time, the date, the calendar, the reminders, various meteorological data, the health, the tides, themoon phases, your photo library ... Suffice to say that there is something to do.

If English does not scare you, you have enough to have fun with many personalization options to arrange data within your widgets as you see it and assign them an appearance that reflects your tastes (we humbly recommend the'orange as background color).You can also program different widgets depending on the time of day, an operation that is reminiscent of Watchsmith's that of Watchsmith.

Once your widgets are scheduled with small onions, you can add them from the widget panel - to the left of the home screen - by pressing "modify" and selecting " +" at the top left of the screen.Once added, all you have to do is insert them wherever you want in your application pages.

Widgetsmith also offers a premium subscription at 22 € per year which unlocks certain features: the display of the weather and the tides, additional styles for widgets and the support of the continuous development of the application.

The concept is very interesting on the other hand aesthetics when we are going to dig a little on the copies of screens, too bad I pass my turn

armandgz123 |

@Levert74

It's the beginning !

lecucurbitacee |

Anyone know if it exists for the time of the next departure of a public transport line (at a given stop)?Given the operation of widgets, it should be possible.

david66 |

@lecucurbitacee

Must wait for the transit update.

@david66

€ 22 per year for widgets...😬

Kiwan |

It's really very ugly and loud!€ 22 per year for this visual quality...The developer touches himself

LaPistache |

Widget design is horrible.It's ugly, unworthy of the iPhone, it looks like falling 10 years earlier at the "graphic code".The developer is optimistic with its stratospheric selling price there...🤨

jackWhite92 |

@Lapistache

Exactly, what a disappointment!They are so big for so little information :-( very disappointed! I regret my Windows Phone on this point

Lemmings |

Well here, you have your home screen as on Android!: D

brunnno |

Where did the favorite contacts go?

iDanny |

So you use widgets in the icons pages, people?

I want to believe it and use the thing, but for the moment I can't be convinced...It takes the place of a lot of icons in the end, suddenly leaving the widgets in their left panel as under iOS 13 🤔

macbook60 |

@idanny

Good evening to do with third -party applications the usefulness but hey it's cool we have the choice

CNNN |

Welcome under Android 6 😂

Caliguvara |

I can only advise everyone to take a look at Widgetwizzard!I have been testing the application since its creation via Testflight, it generates a fairly incredible widget bringing the calendar (exceptionally!), Recalls, and health data!Completely translated into French, we can also display the time, and the integration of the weather would be in the pipes (with a subscription to pay the access costs to the API).https: // apps.Apple.com/fr/app/widget-wizard/id1524227906?

I feel like I lost my favorite widget, favorite contacts! Impossible to put it back in place, I used it for almost all my calls...People in the same case as me or who would have found the solution?!

brunnno |

@Davidaix13

The same, but it doesn't seem to react on the subject

Caliguvara |

@Davidaix13

Shortcuts 🙂

brunnno |

@Caliguvara

That's to say ?🤔

Caliguvara |

@brunnno

Nah, make shortcuts who call/send a message to a certain person 🙃

brunnno |

@Caliguvara

It does not replace the photos of your favorite contacts to click to launch a call or an SMS 😡

nemrod |

It’s a “club” widget 🤔
