Retest of the iPhone 13 Pro: imposing changes that are not necessary | iGeneration

@KorE

No, personally I don't have that feeling, I'm still very satisfied with the autonomy of my 13 Pro Max which can last two days without needing to recharge it.

After I notice that some things drain the battery more than others. I put aside the classic video games necessarily.

But 5G is expensive in terms of battery power and surprisingly it's browsing via Safari that takes me the most autonomy and not an app specifically. So has Safari become more greedy in iOS 15? I cannot say.

YouTube is also very demanding, the most surprising thing is that in general I use it a bit of a podcast application, I put a video that does it, I lock my iPhone and I take my nap.1h of YouTube screen off is costing me 21% battery which is pretty huge.

I have the feeling that apps are always doing more and are getting heavier and that the battery gain is partly absorbed by this fact.

On the other hand compared to my 12 pro max, my battery retains its maximum capacity, when in the same period of time I had fallen to 96-97%. So good point, especially for resale.

As for the photo I must admit that I do a lot but as a good father, and that I see an evolution at night, or when I am in a low light situation. Combined with retouching applications you can get beautiful shots.

But indeed, it must be recognized that Apple accumulates a big look when comparing its photo capabilities to those of a Pixel 6 which does much better by taking advantage of its AI.

Apple keeps promoting its Neural Engine, but I have the impression that it's like Siri, they were first on the spot but they don't exploit it properly. Google, Huawei or Samsung combine optics and AI infinitely better to produce good shots in practically all circumstances.

On the other hand, the iPhone is still progressing and remains totally unbeatable in video, for me it's clear and clean. When we stream videos with friends on my 65 inch, the iPhone 13 pro max stands out clearly from other brands and even previous iphones like the X, XS or 11 pro.
