As you can see, the finishes are neat.The mobile is sleek, although we see on the top and bottom of the device a polycarbonate contour to allow the waves to go as best as possible in the mobile.The most picky of us, will notice that the lens of the monochrome camera is not perfectly aligned with the hole ^^

The body is made of aluminum, the screen is protected by a Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 glass, 2.5 D.The Nokia logo is cut from the body of the phone and is covered with a mirror effect.

Above the phone we find the Jack 3 port.5.Below, we find the USB Type-C socket, the speakers, and one of the 3 microphones.The buttons on the side are fine and perfectly straight, we clearly feel that we are on a quality mobile and that is really nice!

I published a photo gallery captured with the Nokia 8 a few days ago.The result is acceptable, without being extraordinary.For me, the Nokia 8 is equivalent to the Nokia Lumia 930 on the photo part in terms of feelings: sometimes very nice surprises and sometimes some disappointments.I am severe, but you are even more than me most of the time.

Where is my disappointment?In low light, the subjects in motion are fuzzy (yes, it is quite natural when you think about it) and the night photos are often yellow.

The worst example: I tried to take a picture of the moon with the zoom thoroughly ... You have the right to laugh, it's a disaster and it was quite predictable.

Fortunately, in situations of normal conditions, the Nokia 8 is still doing well, even in dark photos.

Bothie mode

The Bothie will be the new trend according to HMD!It's like a selfie, but you can take a picture of what is in front of you at the same time ... Good or bad idea?

The examples offered by HMD are very nice, but it must be admitted that it is quite rare to offer a little dog to your daughter ... well it's really not every day, and from there to have your smartphone in one hand andThe puppy in the other, to be able to frame well ... it is a feat!

To be transparent, I found it very fun, but it takes a lot of training to correctly frame the two scenes at the same time;Especially since the camera on the front takes a photo close enough if you do not hold your arm very far ahead.Here are two examples of cropped Bothie with the Inshot application to be square.The default portrait format can be used directly on Instagram stories.

This photo was very successful on Insta! We must admit that the Bothie is surprising, this is not a format that we see every day.

We can have fun taking a little fun photos, but we must admit that the Bothie is not very interest in everyday photos.Yes we see my head, yes we see that I am outside ... Yes we agree the following photo is completely useless ^^ So here is typically the example not to be done!

To use the Bothie mode useful it will be necessary to be creative ... and manage to frame both sides at the same time ^^

I am the queen of serial problems with smartphones at the moment, and the Nokia 8 unfortunately does not escape it.In a very special situation, reproducible once in two, the Nokia 8 Reboot!

To make the Nokia 8 reboot with a strange message indicating that my Nokia 8 launched another operating system (I absolutely do not understand this message), I just have to: connect the Nokia 8 to a Bluetooth audio system (car,Sound bar) and launch Spotify!Joy, happiness ... the nokia 8 reboot without explanation.It does not work every time, we will say that it is once in two but it is still annoying.I will still do some tests and try to launch music via another application (multimedia player for example) to see if it is specific to Spotify or if it is the phone that has a little concern.

Netflix after -sales service

As a problem never arrives alone, it's Saturday morning and I want to watch an episode ... I open the play store, I'm looking for Netflix ... but I can't find it.So I go to Netflix via Chrome so that it offers me to download the application and there I discover that my smartphone is not a priori compatible.

As this kind of problem tends not to be resolved alone, I contacted Netflix customer service and which sent me a new version of the app to which I did not have access to the store a priori.A big thank-you !For once the Netflix customer service is really great.I will do an article to share the solution with you with the link to the APK file and the different manipulations to do (since they allowed me to do so).

Conclusion

Nokia 8 is a nice smartphone. Nokia est de retour, à travers un mobile haut de gamme qui retranscrit parfaitement les valeurs de la marque : des finitions soignées, un design épuré, et un focus sur des technologies avant-gardistes (Ozo Audio, l’appareil photo à double capteur, le bothie).
