Update - "Can't Stop Scrolling Before I Sleep"

Update - "Can't Stop Scrolling Before I Sleep"

In 2019, an American study showed that 70% of adolescents consult their smartphone 30 minutes before sleeping, and 40% five minutes before sleeping. More and more smartphone users would even consult their mobile phone in the middle of the night: according to the Common Sense association, a third of American adolescents and a quarter of adults are regulars of this practice. How do social networks make us so addicted? What are the risks associated with this practice? How to distinguish a habit from an addiction? In this fifth and last episode of the second season of Update, a podcast by Usbek & Rica, we are interested in compulsive scrolling, especially the one we practice in the evening before falling asleep!

Thanks to Elsa, Sabrina and Rodolphe Oppenheimer for their testimonies. The script for the episode is available here.
