4 million additional French people will be able to be vaccinated against Covid-19 from this Saturday, Olivier Véran announced this Friday. This expansion of the vaccination campaign concerns those over 18 who are subject to chronic diseases, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes and kidney failure.

No proof to provide

A vaccination which, from the age of 18, does not have to be justified by a medical certificate or proof.

Physicians are responsible for verifying the good faith of patients in the event of doubt about their real eligibility.

"We ask people if necessary to show us their prescriptions, to explain to us how things are going for them in relation to their background," he continues.

If by chance someone goes to a center to be vaccinated without presenting a proven chronic disease, Alain Jami explains that he is doing educational work: "We tell them that their turn is coming and that we will have to vaccinate them when they will fit the criteria."
